shortlisted in designboom’s international design time BREIL competition, ‘paparazzo’ by finnish designer nils kajander, springs from the renowned italian watchmaker BREIL’s recent TV ads which feature a classic analog camera.
the watch borrows its shapes and forms from twisting camera’s features to serve its own purposes. for example, the aperture ring functions as a date wheel, while the self-timer knob translates into a crown, together forming a dial. the timepiece has a black stainless steel finish with an accompanying black leather band.
