Seiko is releasing two limited edition Golgo 13 watches, for fans of this professional assassin, from the popular manga series written and illustrated by Takao Saito. Each watch comes with five different time displays and Seiko’s active matrix EPD e-ink display. Release date is set for July 7th in Japan and they’ll go for 57,750 and 63,000 Yen.

Nixon – The Trader ($1000)
Capable of nailing the time to a tenth of second, and yet it doesn’t scream to the world that it’s a sports watch. Instead, it’s tough without being a bully, stylish without being a dandy. It’s a damn capable watch without looking so dreadfully functional. Essentially bombproof – a mix of strong elements in titanium carbide, stainless steel and sapphire crystal – and yet dripping with stealth style. Its seven hand movement means you’ll never be at a loss, and its dark styling means that it’ll never go out of style.
It’s just a concept design, but photography enthusiasts would love to see this BREIL paparazzo watch come to life!
shortlisted in designboom’s international design time BREIL competition, ‘paparazzo’ by finnish designer nils kajander, springs from the renowned italian watchmaker BREIL’s recent TV ads which feature a classic analog camera.
the watch borrows its shapes and forms from twisting camera’s features to serve its own purposes. for example, the aperture ring functions as a date wheel, while the self-timer knob translates into a crown, together forming a dial. the timepiece has a black stainless steel finish with an accompanying black leather band.

Done in collaboration with Tony Kanaan, a well known Indy Racing League champion car driver, the Luminox Chronograph Kanaan IRL is a limited edition of 500 pieces prominently feature the Kanaan signature colors, bright blue and orange. The case, in black PVD with stainless steel and carbon fiber inserts, measures 44mm. It has a sapphire crystal and a Swiss quartz Ronda Startech caliber.

On 4/13, AIGA/NY presents Patrick Borelli’s one-man multimedia show “You Should Judge A Book By Its Cover”, in which he dissects thirty of the oddest book covers you’ve ever seen. Joining Borelli’s cover-shredding onstage will be McSweeneys writer and Moth Story Slam host Dan Kennedy, Cat News creator and comedienne Julie Klausner and book cover designer Evan Gaffney.
